How long will the portrait sitting last ?

A typical sitting lasts 2 to 4 hours. The timeframe is dependent upon the number of people being photographed,  the number of outfits, and the number of backgrounds. In addition to these hours, 2 more hours are required for setup and breakdown of studio equipment.  Sessions average about 40 usable shots per hour so there is usually a vast selection for which to choose.

What should I wear?

For portraits, you want to wear outfits that do not draw attention from your face.  Usually solid colors without large logos work fine. For group shots, everyone should have complimenting outfits.  We compiled some information in the following clothing guide document.

I own a photo CD, how do I get prints made?

You will need to know what print size you want in advance, then you would use a photo editing tool to crop the photograph to the correct aspect ratio.  Note:  the files are saved in JPEG format which is a lossy storage format.  Every time you save the file, information is lost.  Too many repetitive saves will result in significant loss of quality in the final image. To get around this, you may want to save the file as a TIFF file while editing.  Then when you are satisfied, then convert it to JPEG.  Satisfactory results can be obtained from standard home ink-jet photo printers, however for best results, a professional commercial lab should be used.

I want my picture on a Magazine Cover. Can you do that?

Sure can.  Not only can we put your image on it, but we can also customize the articles to whatever you like.  If we don't already have the magazine template, you will have to supply the magazine so that we can use it to work from.  We charge an additional $20 for the time it takes to prepare the new magazine cover and $10 if the magazine template is made already.

What other digital enhancements do you do?

Our policy is, if you can think of it, we will try and do it. We charge $10/hour for digital enhancement, per negative.  If you are clear in what you want, the time required should be reduced significantly.
